Latest Green Metric World Ranking

Paul Greatrix writes: It’s the latest Green University Ranking. Featuring the University of Nottingham in first place.

This world university league table first appeared in 2010 and was headed by the University of California, Berkeley. Last year the University of Nottingham held the top spot. And Nottingham has done it again this time the top 10 is follows:

  3. University of California, Davis US
  4. University College Cork IRE
  5. University of Oxford UK
  6. University of California, Berkeley US
  7. University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill US
  8. University of Bradford UK

  10. Northeastern University US

Paris COP21: Tonight we celebrate, tomorrow we act…

This December, I joined almost 40 members of the IISD Reporting Servicesteam in Paris, to cover the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations at the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) and other ongoing events at the COP. My team covered the Rio Conventions Pavilion – linking the 3 UN conventions on biodiversity, climate change and sustainable land management. Of course most attention (and rightfully so) centered on the +2 weeklong negotiations, resulting in the historic and universally adopted Paris Agreementby nearly 200 parties.
